Responsibilities: Ensure the road worthiness of each vehicle before I take the vehicle out on the road, if defects are found them they must be defected and rectified in the vehicle maintenance unit. If the vehicle is fit for purpose I then carry out deliveries to Tesco express, Metro and Superstores across the South of England. I then return with all the recycled materials to the Recycling Unit. Whilst carrying out my job I must abide by strict laws to ensure I do not go over my driving or working hours. A miscalculation could result in heavy fines and consequences from governing bodies such as VOSA and the highway agencies.

Responsibilities- Picking up various different cargos concealed in containers at various docks and ports in the UK, I was in charge of delivering the good to various types of businesses or home address throughout the UK. Very intense periods of long driving which required high levels of concentration. Thinking fast and being able to have a backup plan in case of accidents, traffic or unexpected obstacles. There were strict timescales to which I had to get the cargo delivered by. I was acting as the face of the company therefore I was expected to be polite and courteous.
