I was helping to develop a new transport operation as the company had recently changed from a manufacturing company to manufacturing and distribution.

Responsibilities:
During my time in this roll, I have been mainly covering the night shift, so I have been liaising with the company in charge with our fleet maintenance to ensure that there are enough vehicles to cover the next days routes, as well as planning the deliveries of any failed drops from the previous days, with an aim to improve any list customer relations. I also support the development of my Assistant Manager and my drivers.
During my time here I have also passed my National and International CPC.

Assistant Shift Manager

Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all the routes were covered for the next days deliveries, as well as recruiting drivers, and dealing with any issues that arise on a day to day basis. I also had to carry out investigations and disciplinarian as and when the need arose.

Responsibilities:
My main roll was to ensure that the drivers were abiding to both EU driving and working time rules, but I also processed the drivers payroll when required as well as supporting the assistant manager.

One of my main roles here was ensuring both the fleet and drivers were all compliant with EU and VOSA
requirements, using a variety of tools including Excel and TachoMaster. I worked a range of Shift work,
including Nights and cover various other roles including seeing all routes depart within a timely manner,
debriefing them upon return, processing the invoices for credits or debits, and liaising with the agency to ensure requirements are met. I also dealt with any customer service enquiries that came directly through to the transport office.
My only reason for leaving was to develop myself more.

Sales Negotiator

My main role here was to ensure that all of my potential buyers were shown all of the available properties that met their requirements and were around their price range. Also setting up appointments with the Mortgage adviser, to help them get good mortgage advice. I also arranged meetings with the Property valuators and Potential new clients. When a sale was agreed I would deal with the sale until the survey had been completed, the mortgage was in place. For all Sales I would also have to record the customer chain to find out if and when the chain was complete.

Dispensing Optician

This was working in a larger, and busier Opticians than I had had previously experienced. My main role here was Ensuring that the customers were offered the best possible service, and were always offered the best range of achieved.
I accomplished this by providing regular on the job training with the staff, and monitoring the quality of the glasses before they left our lab. At times I would also cut and fit the lenses into the frames. As well as dealing with any complaints and adjustments that were required.
My main reason for leaving was that I felt that there was a growing pressure to focus more on the retail side of the industry and less on the medical side.

My main duties here was motivating the staff to achieve both individual and branch targets, whilst maintaining a high standard of service. I also had to ensuring that the paperwork was always completed promptly and accurately. My other roles here included staff recruitment as well as staff discipline and dismissals.
My main reason for leaving was that I found myself spending more time in the office, and missed the customer interaction.
