I am currently looking for a new opportunity within the transport and logistics industry as a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, the company I most recently worked for went into administration. I was retained to assist in the closure of the depot, which has now been closed and handed back to the landlord. I am available for immediate interview and immediate start.
My most recent appointment was Transport Manager for two multi drop operations with Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd in Dunfermline and Inverness, responsible for a large transport fleet of tri-temp and trunking vehicles, delivering throughout Scotland, the islands and the borders.
Prior to this appointment I was a Transport Project Manager seconded to the shared user operation at DHL Supply Chain in Belfast, in support of the General Manager and Transport Manager.
With my work track record and recently updated skills, I believe I would bring more experience and knowledge to any role that my skill set allows. Also to enable me to capitalise on my professional experience, as you can see from my attached CV, I have many years’ experience and success in Logistics. I have gained immense experience in logistics at all levels of management, used to dealing with customers and providing workable solutions to any issues, working in high pressure environments including Just In Time Operations in the automotive sector with Exel plc [DHL] and fully aware of the importance of providing a highly professional service and maintaining that service.
In my previous employment with DHL Exel Supply Chain, I achieved a number of successes, including: Regular high customer satisfaction ratings from clients, changed a paper driven transport booking system to a paperless web based track and trace system. Successfully project managed new contract start-ups, new location / site moves with various clients to reduce mileage, driver’s hours and maximise KPL.
I have a hand’s on, can do attitude to work and life in general, I am highly professional, totally committed and flexible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Regional Operations Manager Technical Distribution, overall responsibility for all operational, commercial, health & safety and organic growth from 4 depots in the Southern Region within a closed book, shared user distribution and installation network.
Site Operations Manager, Technology Distribution, managed the transport, supply-chain and warehouse operations, increasing profitability and growth. Responsible for all warehouse stock activity, vehicle fleet and driver compliance, including the on time installations of technology equipment. Managed the implementation of a paperless in-house track and trace, routing and delivery system.
Appointed Regional Operations Manager.
Contract Manager for Decoma/Vauxhall and European Collection Service for the delivery of vehicle body part components for Just In Time operations in to Vauxhall Luton, Jaguar in Birmingham and BMW in Swindon. Project managed the successful transition to a new distribution site in Luton for Vauxhall’s Just in Time deliveries within time and on budget. Negotiated with local, national and international freight forwarders and couriers for the European collection service.

Contract Manager at the Ford Dagenham, Managed a Transport & Warehouse function optimising store holdings for a Just In Time European replenishment operation using third party carriers for inbound automotive products whilst managing customer expectations with timed deliveries.
