I am currently looking for a new opportunity within the transport and logistics industry as a Transport Manager, Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, the company I most recently worked for went into administration. I was retained to assist in the closure of the depot, which has now been closed and handed back to the landlord. I am available for immediate interview and immediate start.
My most recent appointment was Transport Manager for two multi drop operations with Palmer & Harvey McLane Ltd in Dunfermline and Inverness, responsible for a large transport fleet of tri-temp and trunking vehicles, delivering throughout Scotland, the islands and the borders.
Prior to this appointment I was a Transport Project Manager seconded to the shared user operation at DHL Supply Chain in Belfast, in support of the General Manager and Transport Manager.
With my work track record and recently updated skills, I believe I would bring more experience and knowledge to any role that my skill set allows. Also to enable me to capitalise on my professional experience, as you can see from my attached CV, I have many years’ experience and success in Logistics. I have gained immense experience in logistics at all levels of management, used to dealing with customers and providing workable solutions to any issues, working in high pressure environments including Just In Time Operations in the automotive sector with Exel plc [DHL] and fully aware of the importance of providing a highly professional service and maintaining that service.
In my previous employment with DHL Exel Supply Chain, I achieved a number of successes, including: Regular high customer satisfaction ratings from clients, changed a paper driven transport booking system to a paperless web based track and trace system. Successfully project managed new contract start-ups, new location / site moves with various clients to reduce mileage, driver’s hours and maximise KPL.
I have a hand’s on, can do attitude to work and life in general, I am highly professional, totally committed and flexible with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I am always willing to learn to strengthen my knowledge and am highly adaptable, fit into any work arena with consummate ease.
