• I am fully responsible that my vehicle is road worthy & complete everyday a pre-& post vehicle check sheet.
• I am aware of tachograph rules and regulations and have been using a Digi card for several years, before this I used manual tachographs.
• I hold an up to date CPC qualification card.
• I am responsible for all paper work and delivery notes, that these are signed and checked by both us and the customer, then handed back in to the office on return to the depot.
• I do not have a specific route that I do every day, but I do have knowledge of 13 different routes, ranging from as far as Berwick to Workington, Newcastle, Coastal routes and Durham.
This knowledge allows me to be more versatile to Warburtons, often stepping in at last minute to cover routes.
• I was nominated to be Health & Safety champion and Risk Assessor, making sure that any new clients to Warburtons, the premises and area was safe and secure for us to deliver in a 12 Tonne vehicle.
• I am used to working alone, however before we leave the Bakery on a morning we work as a team ensuring that the long-distance routes leave first.
• Covering various routes has allowed me to build up a relationship with many of the retailers.
• I am always aware that I am the face of the company when I am at work, and always courteous and polite to both clients and the public.
