The position of an Analyst is an opportunity that I am excited about, the manipulation of financial data aids in the success of Investments and financial institutions. There is risk in having too little information, so the responsibility of having the right amount is key. I would like to transition into an Analyst to explore the challenges of leveraging data to create more proficient results to make informed decisions. From my days at University, I have always had a keen interest in Investment and the risks surrounding it. My MSc in Investment and Finance exposed me to areas such as financial and Investment management, financial derivatives, investment banking and strategic asset allocation. My knowledge in finance can be transferred into this position making me a suitable candidate.
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, I have gained exposure in managing stakeholder accounts, creating month end reports, and dealing with bank and statement reconciliations. This encouraged techniques such as attention to detail and accuracy. I liaise with internal and external stakeholders throughout the day, dealing with unsolved logged queries via phone calls and emails. Accounting for my problem-solving skills, I implemented weekly meeting with external stakeholders to ensure our queries are being addressed and resolved efficiently, as well as maintaining a strong relationship with our stakeholders. Furthermore, I maintain the ledger by managing the day-to-day tasks e.g., mailbox, which enables me to work closely with team members and demonstrate my responsible personality, great communication and interpersonal skills. My other skills include strong work ethic, great time management and organisational skills. Given the opportunity, I can perform all tasks to a high standard, and feel my value is best found contributing to process enhancements. I enjoy learning and I am constantly looking for inefficiencies and how I can streamline processes using Excel and VBA. I recently accelerated the process on statement reconciliation, and I achieved this by creating a code using VBA. This managed to cut time spent by 25% giving us more time to work on other areas. Looking at the role description, I am confident that my previous and current experiences tie in with what is required.
I have passion for developing my career which this position can help me do so. I am happy to discuss further on how I can contribute to the business. Thanks for your consideration.
