March 2011
Tipper driver for Alan Smith Haulage. For this company, I drove an eight-wheel tipper truck delivering various aggregates to customers over East Yorkshire.

2000 – 2001.

I had vast experience in aggregate sales in a very competitive market. I set up the ISO 9000 System enabling the company to be competitive for major contracts ensuring that safety was paramount and procedures and policies were adhered to at all times.

1996 – 2000.

I continued to work partly as garage manager in a purchasing role. In addition to my previous responsibilities, I also had to:
• Check tachnographs to ensure driver’s were complying to regulations
• Authorised invoices
• Maintaining a constant service of delivery to customers within their expectations
• Organised transport routes for the vehicles ensuring a quick and efficient service was being delivered to customers
• Greatly increase the income of the company by selling the service to other people and businesses. Through this, I increased the workload of the waste disposal, and increased the number of vehicles.

1992 – 1996

As well as continuing with the below, with my new role I purchased vehicles, parts and supplies from competitive market retailers and suppliers. I also negotiated options and prices and services available. In addition, I also interviewed people for driver or fitting vacancies.

• Overseeing the workshop and staff
• Ensuring all vehicles were correctly maintained
• Ensuring all appropriate documentation for vehicles was completed correctly and readily available for VOSA when they visited
