I am 57 yrs (young) been in the transport industry 30 yrs + CLEAN licence, FULL DCPC, & DIGI CARD, FULL ADR Inc tankers, PDP, been FULLY inducted for INEOS GRANGEMOUTH I hold SMITHS DEVENSIVE DRIVING CERT obtained whilst driving for Suttons. I hold national freight CPC cert, (transport manager) obtained in 1981 when I was owner operator, been involved in most parts of the job ie tankers,  fuel/chemicals /milk/sewage, fridge work both UK & European curtainsider work all over UK. Boxvans work UK & European, spent a couple of years as owner operator doing general haulage all over UK recently worked for a small family business based in Dumfries (AML HAULAGE LTD) on fuel tankers class1. Out of GRANGEMOUTH previously worked on chemical tankers & prior to that was on BULK/BLOWER tipping sugar tanks. I have driven tippers both rigid & articulated. Also driven plant machinery ie 100 ton dump trucks & 35 ton moxy & CAT950B loading shovel.. I have had a variety of jobs in my life which I feel has given me the valuable experience that I have today. STARTED ON BRITISH SUGAR CONTRACT ..non ADR work..TAKING LOADED BULK TIPPING TANKS TO VARIOUS SITES IN SCOTLAND (mainly Barrs at Cumbernauld) and DISCHARGING LOAD VIA PRESSURIZED (BLOWER) TIPPING TANK via metal hoses INTO SILO AT CUSTOMERS PREMISES..THIS CONTRACT ENDED AFTER APPROX 18 months.
Rather than get made redundant I sat my ADR in order to try work on chemical tanks.
