Job Introduction
Are you an HGV / LGV Driver operating in the London area? Do you want to join the leading Civil Engineering contractor in the capital?

Riney is a long established Civil Engineering company who have operated in the Greater London area for nearly 40 years. Riney are currently looking for an experienced HGV / LGV Driver to join our friendly team based out of our depot to work in and around Walthamstow borough. The role is easily commutable from Wanstead, Walthamstow, Stratford, Hackney, Tottenham, North Finchley, Edmonton, Enfield, Loughton, Chigwell, Ilford, Dagenham, Cricklewood, Barnet and the surrounding areas.

The role is a Days role working the hours of 06:00 – 13:00 Monday to Friday with the anticipation of overtime supporting the business in everyday and winter operations.
Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Plant and Transport Manager, as an HGV / LGV Driver you will drive a Gulley Tanker (18 tonne) and be responsible for the successful operations of the vehicle for our clients on whose contract/contracts which we are operating, along with this we also operate a winter maintenance service so you can look to include this to your ever growing skills.

Other responsibilities for this role of HGV / LGV Driver will include:

Operating the vehicle in a safe way
Gulley cleaning operations
Work on our winter maintenance programme; if required
Knowledge / experience of operating a Tanker would prove highly beneficial
Be professional and provide a high quality of customer service to our clients
Work closely and effectively within other areas of the business
Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and tidy
H & S – Zero accidents and environmental incidents
Ensure all Health and Safety standards are being adhered too across all works alongside collaborating, promoting and developing Health, Safety and wellbeing innovations
Ensure environmental processes and best practice across the contract
A valid UK full HGV / LGV driving licence and drivers CPC Card – no more than 6 points is required to be held by you
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in the role of HGV / LGV Driver will have the following:

ESSENTIAL – must hold Driver CPC Card with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar working environment (not tramping / shunting)
HGV / LGV driving Licence (Category C/Class 2)
