YOUR IMPACT
The European Oil Products desk is looking to fill a junior trader support role. The desk covers all refined oil products across the three main trading hubs; US, Europe and Singapore. Initial responsibilities will include supporting the traders with risk analysis, infrastructure building and maintenance, data scrapping and analysis. The role will lead to trade execution and franchise market making.
OUR IMPACT
The Securities Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Fixed income, currency and commodities teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products (such as government bonds, treasury bills and other highly liquid instruments), credit products, mortgages, currencies and commodities.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Maintaining and developing pricing sheets
- Data scrapping various sources for fundamental and technical analysis.
- Sending regular market updates/runs/axes to sales and clients
- Liaise with sales people & desk strategists to find adapted solutions for our clients
- Manage day-to-day administration of the book (risk reports, position clean-up) as well as aggregating and analysing data relevant to our markets.
- Generate trade ideas and develop tools to flag market opportunities
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 1-3 years’ experience in sales, trading or strats
- Demonstrate interest of commodities markets
- Strong analytical thinking and decision making skills
- Ability to work effectively with people and strong attention to detail
- Ability to synthesize and dissect large amounts of information in a fast-paced & dynamic environment
- Quantitative background and technical skill set
