Igloo are recruiting for Trainee HGV Car Transporters and experienced Transporter drivers for our client who have multiple sites across the UK.

We are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers to train up to become 11+ car transporter drivers, but also, we are looking for someone who will go the extra mile to deliver excellent customer service because you will be the face of their company. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a career rather hen just a job!

About the Job

Driving a HGV Car transporter with 11+ new or used cars
To load and unload vehicles, cars, and vans on and off the car transporter
Check over each vehicle before they are loaded onto the trailer
You will have face to face dealings with dealerships and clients
Delivering vehicles to dealerships and small businesses across the country

What we are looking for:

Hold a UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Have a minimum of 6 months experience in the last 2 years
Have an up to date CPC and Digital Tacho card
No more then 6 points on your licence for minor offences
Be confident driving a vehicle onto a trailer at height
Great communication skills and a passion to meet the highest standards
Keen and open to lean a new skill

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
