We are welcoming applications for full time, Class 1 Drivers to join our operation in Enfield . Working 40 hours per week, on either a AM or PM shift (8 week rolling rota) with start times between 00:00 – 02:00 (Days) – 16:00 – 18:00 (Nights)

What will you do & what will you need?

You’ll play a vital role in making sure our stock is where it needs to be, on time. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that M&S products (replace if primary) are transported via single or double-deck trailers between our depots, warehouses and our customers safely whilst adhering to our Health & Safety regulations at all times. Your duties also involve tipping the vehicle, taking products off the trailer in cages or trays and into the M&S Stores, and of course some manual handling. This is a hands-on job, with plenty of responsibility. You’ll be out on the road but also working closely with colleagues and representing Gist to everyone you meet

You’ll hold a class 1 licence with at least 18 months Class 1 driving experience. A maximum of 6 endorsements with no accidents in the last 12 months and no points for drinking or consuming illegal substances while driving. Manual handling of goods or multi-drop experience is highly desirable, along with a minimum of 3 CPC units.

Gist Enfield is one of our newest and largest distribution centres. The site was opened in 2016 to exclusively service the Marks & Spencer (M&S) Food contract. Operating two daily cycles, we take receipt of both chilled and ambient M&S Food products from suppliers.
