I am writing to you as I am interested in the role as a Makeup Artist. I am currently studying Hair and Media Makeup at Derby College and on the side I’m a self employed Makeup Artist. After I am qualified from college, in July, I would love to work full time in the makeup/ beauty industry as I have a huge passion for it, the position you currently offer sounds like a perfect opportunity for me to start my career path and I feel as though I would be a great candidate for it.

I would describe myself as a very creative, well presented and hard working person who thrives at the chance of learning new skills. I have excellent communication skills and enjoy collaborating with different people. I always like to get the task I have been given done in a professional and efficient manner and I have proved these skills whilst being a makeup artist. I can work proficiently in a team as well as being able to use my own initiative when working independently; always aiming to bring out the best of my ability and other people, maintaining a high level of quality and productivity in my work, this is why I believe that I would be a suitable candidate for this role. I also have a very precise attention to detail, which in my opinion is a great characteristic in the beauty industry as every look or treatment you produce has to be at a high standard in order to satisfy customer needs.
