LGV / HGV Driving Instructors Required

Wallace School of Transport is a long established, accredited provider of HGV / LGV driving lessons.

We are expanding and want to recruit instructors to join our friendly and experienced team.

Location: Applicants are welcome at all our HGV / LGV centres across London and
M25. We are especially interested to recruit someone urgently for our Slough (near
Heathrow) and SE London & North Kent locations.

We are interested from hearing from:

Experienced Driving Instructors, ideally already qualified through NRI and/or
NVDIR (DVSA RLGV). Or who are DVSA ADI Instructors willing to work towards getting NRI qualification (support can be provided to help secure these qualifications to suitable applicants).

And Experienced LGV / HGV drivers with supervisor/assessor or a teaching/coaching background with experience in reviewing other people’s performance and development, who is willing to complete theory and practical support and exams to secure LGV NRI instructor qualifications.

Remuneration: Competitive, variable dependant on skills, experience & qualifications.

Job Type: Freelance / Self Employed. Full Time opportunities.

Minimum entry requirement: Holds C/C+E licence for 3+ years, administration skills, flexibility, high standards of professionalism, enthusiasm to deliver quality instruction to DVSA standards and specifications including continuous Instruction
Skills self-improvement/development.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
