Cambrian Car Care provides emergency motoring assistance to stranded motorists across the country. The family owned company operates a large, professional and diverse fleet of specialist rescue and recovery vehicles.

The role is based in the Bridgend area (but we cover a vast area of South Wales) where you will be expected to be a pivotal part of ensuring the safety and well being of the motoring public during their time of need. This may be as the result of a mechanical breakdown or accident and rapid response is essential for customer satisfaction.Candidates must hold a HGV licence or a right to drive up to 7.5t (grandfather rights) with full Driver CPC and qualification card . They must be customer focused with an outgoing positive personality, you will be a proven problem solver and self-starter, able to work well without constant supervision and have the ability to meet strict time limits. A flexible approach to the working day is needed, as meeting customer deadlines is an important factor. In return you will be supported in your driving career by a company that invests heavily in its vehicles, training and people. The position is full time , 40 hours a week (basic), plus being ‘on-call’ from home (via rota system). The shift pattern includes every other weekend (applicants will be paid a retainer for being ‘on-call’, plus any overtime carried out) There WILL be additional overtime available. Recovery Experience is an advantage but not essential as all training will be given to all personnel, basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage. Wage is depending on experience starting at £18,000 but with ‘oncall’ incentives plus overtime every week applicants can earn between £20,000 – £28,000. CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
