Work Experience
Contract Manager/CDM Coordinator

July 2015 to July 2018
Initially, my employment with Cranna Construction started as working for a company with little employees, tools and a budget to spend with no contracts. My role as Contract Manager, along with experience and contacts from a previous job secured a contract with Scottish Power.
While in charge of the Scottish Power Framework and building contract, I soon employed a team of twelve people to suit the needs of the company, which consisted of six blacksmiths, four labourers, one joiner and a builder.
Day-to-day responsibilities included surveying substation grounds, carrying out controlled digging methods, constructing detailed drawings and finalizing method statements. Other responsibilities included completing invoices weekly, carrying out audits on employees, managing costs and monitoring budget spending of four million pounds over a four-year period, organizing work program sheets and coordinating the hiring process of new employees.
Blacksmith
January 2015 to July 2015
Working as a blacksmith at ICON fabrications included using my already developed skill set to erect framework such as palisade and environmental fencing. Another part of this role involved welding and fabricating on site in order to complete jobs such as handrails, fencing and other miscellaneous tasks.
Throughout this role, it was important to use my initiative and be proactive in working as part of a team. While in this position I was in charge of a small team consisting of two or three people.
