Engaged on a 5 month contract to provide loss adjusting services in the US Virgin Islands in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
• Responsible for the assessment of claims with a value up to $250k with delegated authority up to $75k.
• Completion of on site survey, preliminary reporting, reserve assessment, costing analysis and final reports for completion.

Claims Adjuster/Surveyor for both Commercial and Domestic properties. Responsibilities include, surveying properties, compiling a full report for the relevant insurance company, liaising directly with policy holders, the substantiation of the cause of loss, the full calculation of the repair specification in order to return the insured to a pre-loss condition and settling claims on site or using the insurance company’s building repair networks.
Highlights include:
• Completed over 3000 claims, operating with delegated authority for both commercial and domestic insurance claims.
• Completed comprehensive training including Claims Handling, Risk Assessment, Health & Safety, Asbestos Sampling, intensive mentoring and includes ongoing Continuous Professional Development.
