As the only representative from 847 Naval Air Squadrons SQMS department on the deployment, I had soul responsibility for all the squadron’s logistics.

As a member of the RM Police Troop I was attached to 11 troop, Zulu Coy 45 Cdo Gp RM, in a Close Support role, to work alongside members of 11 troop. Based at Patrol Base (PB), Wishtun, within FOB Jackson, Sangin, AO, (Area of Operations) Battle Group North.

OP HERRICK 14 (Afghanistan 2011)
Attached to the Rear Link Detachment (RLD) 30 Cdo IX Gp RM I was deployed to Camp Bastion (Helmand) Afghanistan. In the movement; of not only equipment, but also that of personnel, to departments and unit’s.
The collection of personal and equipment to be taken to the flight line, before being deployed onto forward operation bases.
