HGV Class 1 Driver (NIGHT SHIFT)

HGV CLASS 1 (Night Shift) Permanent role

Our leading engineering client requires a night shift HGV CLASS 1 With Shunting Duties for their site in Mallusk, Newtownabbey.

We would like someone with passion for this kind of driving job and also would prefer if you done nightshift in the past due to nature of this shift.

The main duties of this job will be driving flat bed with steal / metal stock for our leading galvanising company driving HGV Class 1 trucks on the first part of your shift from Newtownabbey to Dungannon for a trailer swap on each run upon arrival.

The 2nd part of this shift will shunting trailers around the company’s yard in Mallusk for the am drivers arriving each morning. (THIS CAN CHANGE AS COMPANY REQUIREMENTS)

Experience of using Ratchet straps and securing loads is essential.

You will be handling appropriate paperwork, checking of vehicle before and after handover ensuring the (hirer) leaves no damages etc.

All material will be fork on fork off work.

A minimum of 12 months experience required for this role

1 week training will be provided on the day shift role so that you can meet the transport team and for any training to take place before the start of the night shift.

· Hours-Days-Rate

· Working hours 8.00PM – 6.00AM

· Days: Monday to Friday each week.

· Hourly Rate: £11.95 per hour.

· immediate start if successful

· Essential criteria:

· HGV Class 1 license

· CPC License all modules completed

· In date Digi Card

· 1 years + experience

· Ratchet Strap Experience
