Rotating Shifts: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm

Driving of Counterbalance and Combi-lift fork trucks to a competent level. (Refreshers can be provided for expired licenses)

Driving of a transit truck for collections/deliveries, when required.

Shunting of HGV’s on our private service road to aid loading.

Use of an overhead crane to a competent level.

Be trained as a banksman to guide HGV’s in and out of site.

Manual lifting training.

Understanding paperwork and our systems.

Loading of lorries from fork truck position.

Loading of our lorries from being on the HGV and guiding FLT driver.

Loading and unloading external vehicles from suppliers and customers.

Strapping loads down safely on all vehicles.

Using all measuring equipment using micrometres, verniers and tapes.

Starting rate of pay – £9.50 to £10.50 per hour for the first 42.50 hours worked, per week. Time and a half afterwards.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
