HGV Class 1 Driver

Major Logistics are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for Immediate starts to work with one of our clients who are well-established frozen and chilled distribution company in the Warrington area offering year round work at this uncertain time.

Drivers looking to work at this site can expect the following:

· A choice of ad-hoc work or fixed guaranteed rota’s

· Guaranteed shifts of Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday available all year round with an additional Wednesday every other week and Sundays depending on volumes

· Both AM, Midday and PM shifts across a 7 day operation

· Full training provided through assessment

· Store deliveries including manual handling

· Cage work and palletised work so handballing is required

· Ongoing work all year round

· 10 – 12 hour shift patterns to guarantee excellent earnings

All drivers supplied will be required to have a minimum of 2 years relevant HGV 1driving experience. You must also hold a valid digi-card and cpc qualification card.

A DRUG AND ALCOHOL TEST WILL NEED TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY ALL CANDIDATES

Rates of pay are as follows…

Days £11.50ph (£13.50 after 13 weeks)

Nights £12.50ph (£13.55 after 13 weeks)

Saturday £14.00ph

Sunday £15.00ph

*Rates will increase once your shifts goes past 1800pm

*All limited and Umbrella drivers are given an increased rate of £2.00 per hour Monday to Saturday and an extra £3.00ph on the Sunday

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
