Job Description

PSV/HGV Engineer required at Nibs of Essex Ltd –

We are looking to recruit a skilled or semi-skilled PSV / HGV Mechanic to work at our Wickford depot.

If you are semi-skilled, further training courses can be provided which will further enhance you in your career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-going repair and maintenance on a varied fleet of buses including Dennis Darts, Enviro 200/400, Scania N94, Optare Solo’s.

Undertaking Vehicle maintenance, servicing, running repairs and body work

Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard.

Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines.

Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner.

Have an ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards.

Prep & Presentation for DVSA tests – We are currently operating at 100% first time pass rate 2 years running and holding as high as possible OCRS score within the industry

PCV licence holder desirable though training is available for the right candidate

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
