On a Start up Project (Interim) on a brand new site taking the operation through by managing distribution of Chilled, Frozen and Ambient food products to 150 stores, introducing procedures, planning and organizing the warehouse and transport within tight deadlines backed by SAE and Red Prarie soft ware, focusing on H&S for which I conducted daily audits, motivating, training and developing a large team in the office and warehouse based at the new depot in W London.

On an Interim Project, managing 24/7 Despatch of fast moving Chilled food products
( Sandwiches, soups and Salads) to 101 shops across the country.
While interacting with Sales and High Risk Production, I managed the busy and demanding operation and
identified the skill gap and training needs of operators and supervisors. Improvised on running the warehouse, its security, projecting inventory, dealing with customers, third party transporters, staffing issues, house keeping, managing the freezers, MHE and chillers, conducting regular audits, controlling budgets, motivated the team of operatives, scheduled training, conducted regular briefings conducted disciplinary and monitored absenteeism.
I improved the transport and loading procedure thus saving operational costs by 10%.

Managing a shift, loading and transport of chilled, frozen and some ambient food products for their South East Stores.
Day to day running of the transport system managed by Isotrak, tracking the movement of every vehicle, route planning, shifts, absenteeism, holidays and other personnel issues for about 90 drivers. Managing the fuel, health and safety, security, risk assessments and other issues

Production / Distribution Team Manager

Managing the 24/7 operation with the team of Production and Office staff, enhanced the filling of the cylinders, being a member of the health and safety committee instigated safe practises and conducted monthly planned general inspections, controlled the inventory of the raw materials using SAPS.
Managed the fleet of vehicles, the tacho legislations, route planning, repairs and maintenance.
Inspired the team of employees, scheduled training, performed appraisals and conducted regular briefings
which motivated the team helping in improving performance, conducting disciplinary and monitoring

Managing 15 company staff and some agency staff for the warehouse, taking on the responsibility for a 24/7 operation with 3 shifts managing the Dispatch and the warehouse where I controlled the Inventory of a wide range of raw materials, packing products, dry goods, long-life and fresh and chilled products for issue to the factory.
Managed the fleet of company vehicles, and drivers, planning routes and deliveries, coordinating with haulers, plan timely pickups and deliveries, liaising with the customers (High street Super markets).

Being responsible to develop the warehouse and its for the fast growth, planning and re-organizing the
increasing demands by the factory.
Having stepped in here and implemented new practices of Controlling the Inventory and purchase of stocks
thus saving wastage of fresh food by 5%, introducing improvised systems by liaising with the suppliers,
production and the customers.
Re-planned the warehouse lay out to make more space, developed a procedure of supplying materials to the
production hence managing MRP, dispatch to other Depots. Introduced Health and safety practices.

The firm dealt in production and distribution of chilled and frozen food products from their premises of 80,000 sq. feet to retailers, restaurants, hotels and caterers.
Began work here taking the responsibility for the start-up of the subsequent operation, seeing the project through, recruitment, training and leading the team of 30 in the warehouse and 10 drivers.
With hands-on action managed the challenging inventory, MRP, warehouse operations and the transport.
Soon developed a system of controlling the inventory of raw-materials to maintain the budget and purchasing the stocks to maintain smooth operations
Having to deal with various suppliers and ever changing prices gained commercial awareness and this helped to work on quantifiable business plans and learn budgeting.
Implemented procedures to maintain high standards and KPIs.
Managed a fleet of trucks, the legal formalities, and their movements to minimise distribution costs.
