Proman are recruiting class 2 driver for a local independent manufacturer of uPVC windows and doors to be delivered all over the UK.

Job Purpose & Requirements:

To drive a HGV vehicle delivering goods to customers.

Category C licence, Driver Qualification card (driver CPC) and digital Tachograph card are essential.

Experience of multi-drop deliveries beneficial.

Must be flexible and willing to undertake night out work when required.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Complete the vehicle daily inspection sheet in accordance with current driver legislation and report all defects immediately.
Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
Comply with current EU & Working Time Directives regarding driver hours.
Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage.
Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the Company’s accident reporting procedure.
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
Ensure with the Logistics Managers and Loaders that the load is correct against the customers’ orders.
Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with the customer and/or Logistics Managers.
Check goods off with the customers and obtain signature and print. If any errors, mark ticket accordingly and consult with Logistics Managers.
Provide an excellent customer service.
Handle customer issues on the delivery effectively and avoid getting over involved in discussion. Contact Logistics Managers for assistance (if required).

Salary: £13.00 per hour PAYE and £16 per hour LTD driver Monday to Friday with the option of nights out.
