Our team
The Clearing Sales team is responsible for selling Clearing & to asset managers, pension funds, insurers, broker-dealers, corporates and other financial institutions across EMEA. We sit within the Investor Services Sales division of J.P. Morgan, which also provides custody and asset servicing, prime brokerage, securities clearance, financing and securities lending
Opportunity
This role will offer a chance to work in a fast paced environment at the forefront of market structure change and will offer the opportunity to work in established businesses which is focusing on a strategy of client acquisition.
The successful candidate will be assigned a portfolio of clients to cover/acquire and will be responsible for the following:
Mapping the existing client landscape – scoping wallet, market share, competitors and opportunities and developing relationships with prospects and existing clients
Leading the deal team for RFPs and bid processes and institutionalizing the pitch across the firm
Once mandates are won, remaining the key contact for all commercial aspects of the clearing relationship and seeking to grow wallet shareRequirements
Specific requirements include:
Experience in a derivatives clearing sale role, with familiarity with FX and Equity Prime Brokerage being a key advantage
Understanding of the cash equities markets
Strong existing relationships with UK institutional asset managers
Ability to think on a strategic level and identify future opportunities for business growth and the ability to cross sell across the Prime Brokerage platform
Ability to multi-task and to work on one’s own initiative
Excellent communication skills: efficient verbal and written communicator with ability to present to clientsThis role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
