Associate Director, Capital Markets (Modeller)

The Role

You will work as a core part of the European Capital Markets team within the broader Global Capital Markets group focussing on structuring and executing lending investments in the UK and continental European geographies.

• Provide quantitative analytical support pre- and post- transaction closing, on the full range of direct and indirect institutional investments through the Funding Circle platform: funds, securitisations, leveraged transactions and bilateral deals

• Design and maintain cash flow models for all institutional transactions, in conjunction with Risk Analytics, Legal and Risk

• Experience and proficiency in stress testing transaction-specific models

• Utilise the quantitative analytics to assist in designing the strategy, structure and execution of specific Capital Markets transactions and projects

• Work closely with US Capital Markets team and the Commercial, Strategic Business Development, Risk & Analytics, Legal, Product, Operations and Communications teams 

The Candidate

This will suit a candidate with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience at a top tier investment bank, asset manager or hedge fund within a quantitative credit/fixed income structuring role

• Proven quantitative and analytical skillset, with attention to detail, combined with an ability to manage complex transactions with a number of internal and external legal and operational stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of structured credit and fixed income markets, experience in structuring ABS transactions and ability to convert legal framework(s) into model(s)

• Advanced modelling skills (including VBA) across various product types, and platforms including (though not limited to) Intex, Moody’s and Bloomberg

• Confident, presentable and able to interact directly and autonomously with a wide variety of investors and stakeholders

• Ambitious, dedicated and excited about working with highly motivated and smart individuals in an entrepreneurial environment
