Our client is a home delivery furniture logistics company delivering good to and from clients homes and businesses.

We are a privately owned company that has seen a substantial growth within the last 12 months hence the opening for a new position.

We have 5 sites across the UK and over 30 vehicles.

Main responsibilities:

Constantly communicate with the transport office regarding daily activities
Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace
Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team
Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit
Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
Ensure that Van Delivery Porters proactively makes customer phone calls with ETAs and keeps records of deliveries
Take extra care with products to ensure goods are delivered damage free
Work as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure all deliveries are of high standard
Ensure fleet compliance and health and safety standards are adhered to and continuously improved
Adhere to EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Regulations

ABOUT YOU

Mandatory:

Minimum of 1 years HGV driving experience
Hold a valid C license with no more than 6 penalty points
Holds an up to date Driver CPC Qualification, ideally with 35 hours completed
Holds an up to date Digital Tachograph Card

Desired:
Experience in the Home Delivery service
Good geographical knowledge of the UK
