J.P. Morgan’s Global Market Infrastructures (GMI) is a group within the Chief Administration Office (CAO) within the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB). GMI is responsible for managing J.P. Morgan’s network of critical third party providers for cash and securities services for its proprietary and client activities in approximately 100 markets. These critical providers include Financial Market Infrastructures (Payment Systems, Central Counterparties, Securities Depositories and Check Clearing Systems) and Agent Banks (cash correspondent banks, partner banks and securities sub-custodians and clearing banks). The core responsibilities of GMI include Market and Infrastructure Management, Agent Performance Management, Network Client Consulting and Information Management and Delivery. The global team is located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bournemouth (UK), London and New York to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. While the team resides within CIB, it supports all J.P. Morgan lines of business.
The Market Infrastructures and Management (MIM) team work closely with the lines of business within the CIB to ensure the business objectives are met and the network meets the needs of the Firm and its clients
The EMEA team is responsible for the procurement, management and oversight of the various aspects of the Firm’s memberships and relationships with FMIs and Agent Banks for approximately 270 relationships in 61 countries. The group must understand the markets covered, track and evaluate market developments, lead and participate in market or industry discussions to represent the interests of the various businesses and their clients. Furthermore, the team ensures the Firm meets the Third Party Oversight (TPO) requirements, assesses the underlying risks, meets all regulatory requirements, and manages the spend. Where J.P Morgan is represented on the board of FMIs or FMI committees, the team acts as coordinator across the businesses, to brief the relevant internal parties involved and foster strategic discussions to represent the interests of the Firm and its clients.
The MIM team works closely with the GMI Network Service Delivery (NSD) team in the areas of performance management, regulatory reporting and audit, and with the GMI Network Client Consulting (NCC) team for communicating the market information to the businesses and their clients. Outside of GMI, the team must develop and strengthen relationships with key line of business heads, legal, credit, banking and risk teams throughout J. P. Morgan.
This role represents a unique opportunity to interact with key market participants throughout the region, get a strong exposure to multiple and diverse business groups and senior managers within J.P. Morgan, within and across regions, and provides a global view of businesses and market developments
Roles and Responsibilities:
Senior Regional manager for the EMEA MIM team covering European, Middle Eastern and African markets, reporting to GMI’s Global Head of Market Coverage and Consulting
Team consists of 25-30 people (EDs, VPs, Associates and Analysts located in London, Paris and Copenhagen)
Manage relationships with key European-based multi-market/large providers
Cover complete range of FMI types – Agent banks, CSDs, CCPs, Payment Systems, and may include Exchanges and Trading Venues in future
Regular interactions with businesses and the CAO team in region, global interactions where required across businesses, GMI, CAO
Regular senior level interactions with JPM providers throughout the region

Ensure strong coordination across MIM and NCC teams in the region
Create stronger links across GMI and across LOBs (Markets, Clearing, Prime, TS, CFS, Corporate Banking, AWM, CIO, Credit, Legal, Commercial Bank) in the region
Grow and develop skill set and knowledge across the team
Represent EMEA MIM team in global interactions
Build relationships with key suppliers and key senior managers throughout EMEA
Strong people management skills
Strong client or vendor relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills
Securities settlement, cash management, custody, foreign exchange, clearing, collateral management, network management or product management experience in the financial services industry is desirable
Strong communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills
Strong analytical skills, project management and proven delivery
Experience with Change Management
Ability to develop, articulate and defend a point of view; withstanding challenge yet remaining ready to consider new facts as they arise
