We’re currently seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to join our Core Platforms Engineering team, working within our Group Transformation function. This team engages in activities to help enable transformation in both our Value Streams and Enterprise Programmes.
We’re responsible for:
– Engineering Transformation
– Delivery of Engineering enablers and capabilities that will be applied across Transformation
– Management of core platforms that reside centrally, and
– Supporting the development of our Engineering culture and mind-set culture across Transformation and the Group
It’s essential that you’re a specialist within SOA/API as you’ll be owning the delivery of transformation solutions. You’ll use your technical design skills to contribute to the development and implementation of Group Transformation plans. We’ll need you to have experience leading on change programmes or initiatives of high complexity, with the ability to handle both current programmes and own the strategy for future pipeline of change.
Your responsibilities will include the end to end solution for initiative design, ensuring that the all change initiatives align to longer term strategic roadmaps for the division. It would be advantageous if you have skills in some of the below activity, which are part of the role:
– Translating business requirements into technology solutions
– Working with external platform suppliers
– Simplifying external architecture, considering costs savings and group standards
– Leading and participating in peer reviews and quality assurance

As a senior leader, you’ll take personal responsibility for relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and third party suppliers. You’ll need to work collaboratively to make solution decisions on change projects, taking into account technology/business constraints and costings.
As part of your role you’ll lead a small team of Solution Architects. You’ll need to build and maintain a high performing team, ensuring colleagues are developed, and support the embedding of the Bank’s culture and vision through your visible leadership, and provide support as necessary.
