Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on flatbed and commercial driving to contribute to our operational success.

Duties

Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe working condition
Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays
Follow all road safety laws and company policies during transportation activities
Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence suitable for operating container lorries
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in freight transportation
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and securing cargo on flatbeds
Good organisational skills for route planning and record keeping
Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
Prior experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
