Technology for Social Good, Diversity & Inclusion focuses on creating an environment across Global Technology that welcomes and celebrates diverse talent that are committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. TFSG, D&I initiatives target all Global Technology staff. The programs serve strategic locations across the globe and partner with HR, Recruiting, Corporate Responsibility, Marketing, Internal and External Communications, and Training.

Each year, technology employees volunteer over 40,000 hours of their time through various Technology for Social Good programs. These programs aim to assist charitable organizations with technology projects while also enabling JPMorgan Chase to attract, develop and retain a talented technology workforce.

Role Overview:
The EMEA Lead will be based in either London or Glasgow and will be responsible for the planning, delivery and management of all Technology for Social Good, Diversity & Inclusion programs across the EMEA region. The EMEA Lead will work with the global program leads to understand the structure and goals of programs, determine which ones apply to the EMEA market, adapt and execute them in local markets. The EMEA lead will own relationships with executive stakeholders across the region and will manage a small (4 to 6) member team directly in the execution of programs. The EMEA Lead will partner with various internal stakeholders such as HR, Legal, Marketing, Risk, Compliance and other groups to execute. This role will report into the global head of Technology for Social Good, Diversity & Inclusion who is based in the United States and will be a part of the senior leadership team for the group. Specific job responsibilities are outlined below:
Program Strategy:
Form a thorough understanding of the programs available within the global framework
Determine which programs should be run in respective markets by working closely with local partners in each market
Partner with global program owners and work to adapt global programs to local needs
Define and manage the budget/headcount for EMEA programs and plan out a multi year roadmap for the region
Program Management:
Directly manage a small team of regional program managers who guide the execution of the programs across EMEA
Ensure programs operate within budget, controls and meet or exceed outlined results
Engage with key stakeholders in each market to ensure that local goals are being met while operating within local control structures
Establish KPI’s for new programs and assist in the launch of new programs
Report ROI value/metrics for in flight and emerging programs
Articulate the stories of impact happening across EMEA to a global audience
Replicate programs/innovations that are seeded in EMEA to other global regions
People Management:
The EMEA Lead role will inherit a small team split between the London and Glasgow locations
Provide day to day management of this team including goal setting, performance reviews, training plans, coaching and advisory on program delivery
Assist the local programs leads in removing roadblocks and securing appropriate permissions to operate and scale their programs
In addition to direct reports, this role will have a network of influence (through programs) on several thousand technology employees across EMEA
Stakeholder Engagement:
Forge relationships with all of the C-Level and MD level internal leaders in the markets covered and solicit their involvement in areas of interest to them
Ensure that program selection and program adapation is done to meet the needs of local markets and specifically their leaders
Form partnerships with various internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, HR, Risk, Marketing and other internal groups critical to the delivery of your programs
External Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the “face” of the program to external stakeholders in the nonprofit/social sector, diversity/inclusion space, education space, and with other relevant partner organizations
Forge strong relationships in the community, attend regional conferences, and as appropriate take advantage of external speaking opportunities to talk about our work in the region
Work with our internal PR, Comms, Marketing and Legal teams to ensure that we have an effective external strategy for telling our story in traditional and social media
Risk & Controls:
Develop a robust understanding of the risk and controls framework that the global programs operate within
Ensure that unique regional controls are added as needed to the risk and controls framework
Work with global and regional program leads to ensure that all programs are executed within the risk and control framework and escalate any issues as soon as they arise
Continue to monitor the risk and controls framework so it adhere to firmwide standards and is recertified on a periodic basis
Prior educational or work experience in a Technology related field preferred but not required
Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
Ability to work autonomously and follow guidelines without extensive supervision
Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to work effectively within a global team while influencing and contributing towards the development of the global platform
Experience managing high profile projects and programmes
Experience managing C-level, and MD-level stakeholders
Consultative and collaborative approach to engagements (working with other internal functions, and external suppliers and organisations)
Experience managing small teams, and / or larger external management of other non-direct reports.
Experience coaching others
Self-motivated and willing to share in the team’s workload
Able to work flexibly in order to deliver key programmes (e.g. Evening Events, Weekend Events)
Passion for Social Good and/or Diversity and Inclusion
Experience working with charities / social sector, desired
Experience / good understanding of diversity issues within technology and the EMEA region
