An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Markets Operations and Trade Services Trade Control, helping support the Commercial Banking Markets and Group Corporate Treasury franchises, bringing to life the Group’s vision of Helping Britain Prosper and be Best Bank for Customers.
The team operates in a fast paced and technical environment, playing a pivotal role as a trusted partner with various internal functions in Markets Operations and Trade Services, alongside key partners in Commercial Banking Markets and Group Corporate Treasury.
To achieve success in this role you’ll be a proficient phenomenal teammate who is adept at problem solving, able to prioritise to meet tight deadlines. You’ll undertake a vast range of activities that span markets products including FX, OTC Derivatives, Fixed Income and Commodities, offering excellent development opportunities.
Knowledge of CB Markets and Group Corporate Treasury products is desirable but not a pre-requisite for this role, however you would be expected to contribute by completing any relevant preferred qualifications deemed appropriate to be competent in role.
You may be required to support a later working pattern on a rotational basis, covering our New York business.
key responsibilities will include:
• Assist Partners with issues and take responsibility for issue resolution, conducting root cause analysis where required.
• Oversight of operational processes to support trade and process integrity controls in respect of the CB Markets and Group Corporate Treasury business.
• Performing intraday checks to ensure trades interface from trading systems to relevant downstream systems.
• Liaising with other areas of the Group to access their specialist skills, obtain and exchange information and identify standard methodologies
• Identify changes to systems, processes and working practices to achieve continuous operational improvements.
• Production of meaningful Management Information to highlight Key Performance and Risk Indicators to partners within Service Agreement.
CAPABILITIES:
• Good appreciation and awareness of the internal risk and control framework, policies and procedures including audit and SOX requirements.
• Ability to multi task and prioritise BAU workflow within tight deadlines.
• Aptitude and desire to learn and develop at pace attaining the necessary qualifications and skill sets
• Keen problem solver with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good experience of markets products.
• Ability to challenge process and find opportunities, crafting efficiencies through continuous improvement.
• Capability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally across the Group, including key partners.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences.
