Full job description
ARRA Distribution Limited – An exciting and dynamic transport operation, applying our skills to the more demanding aspects of secondary distribution.

5 on 3 off Rota pattern or 4 on 4 off rota pattern

Start times varying between 03:00 – 08:00 and 15:00 – 20:00

Role Requirements:

· Delivery of roller caged goods safely to the customer

· Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure

· Responsible for filling in the customer check sheets and report any defects to Office Team

· Responsible for keeping the depot informed of any issues during the shift

· Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times, and observing site rules.

· To act in a responsibly and safely responsibly on the road and customer premises at all times

· Driving in a fuel-efficient manner

· Able to move roller cages from vehicle to store, via use of a tail lift.

· Ability to work at height on double decker trailers.

· Be able to communicate well at store delivery points.

Knowledge and Experience required:

· Should have proven experience in driving articulated vehicles, have good geographic knowledge of UK roads and ability to negotiate tight routes and delivery locations.

· Hold an LGV C+E licence with an up to date CPC qualification for a minimum of 12 months

· Possess a working knowledge of EU Drivers Hours Regulations and the Road Transport Directive regulations governing working time

· Ability to work without direct supervision

· Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training

· Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude

· Ability to work efficiently and accurately

· Must be multiskilled to cover both Store Deliveries and Trunking work depending on customer requirements.
