HGV Service Driver – Class 2

Location: Thurrock
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week + overtime)
Pay: £18.00/hour basic | £27.00/hour overtime (after 40 hours)

We’re looking for a professional, flexible and safety-conscious HGV Service Driver – Class 2 to join our team based in Thurrock. You’ll be out on the road servicing welfare cabins, toilets, and other equipment at customer sites across the UK — no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing as a HGV Service Driver

Replenishing water and fuel, and removing effluent waste from welfare units on customer sites
Carrying out multi-drop routes and managing delivery/collection paperwork
Ensuring loads are safely secured and vehicles are operated in compliance with legal and company standards
Delivering great service and promoting Garic’s professional image at every site you visit
What You’ll Need to be a HGV Service Driver

Essential:

Full HGV Category C Licence
Valid DCPC (35 hours completed)
Solid multi-drop driving experience
Strong understanding of driver hours/tachograph rules
Able to carry out safety checks confidently
Desirable:

CSCS Card
Experience in plant hire, construction, or manufacturing environments

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
