Due to continued business expansion Wales Environmental Group we are looking to
recruit a HGV Class 2 Driver / Drainage Engineer for various commercial contracts
and private customers from our Cardiff Depot.

The roles will involve both reactive and pre-planned maintenance work in clearing
blocked drains using High Pressure Water Jetting, undertake emergency and routine
vacuum tanker Driving operations, moving sewerage sludge and Cess waste to
required destination site.

There will also be a need to carry out street furniture repair work and small
excavations.

About You:

The ideal candidates will hold a HGV Class 2 licence and be experienced in the use
of High Pressure Jetting equipment; however, drainage experience is not essential
as training can be provided.

The successful candidate will also be polite, well presented and well-mannered to
ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.

Weekend work is available and you will be required to be on call as per rota. It is
likely that you will work after 5pm as we receive emergency calls.

Desirable criteria:

High pressure water experience is preferential but not essential as full training
will be providedNRSWA – Unit 2 (Streetworks)
Confined space training
Emergency First Aid
Ability to read maps and identify location of sewer pipes
Performance Measures
Completion of work logs Achieving targets, such as no of jobs / meterage
required. Completion of documentation such as vehicle defects & drivers’
hours logs.
