GHC are recruiting a powder tanker driver to work from our base at Carstairs, ML11.

Local and distance work, working Monday to Friday, full-time permanent position.

Roles and Responsibilities

To follow instructions in line with company procedures and within industry guidelines
Ensure all transport legislation including drivers hours and vehicle defect reporting is adhered to
To keep your vehicle in a good clean condition
A willingness to learn
A high level of self motivation
To wear uniform and PPE as provided
A customer focused attitude
Experience

Hold a full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence
Hold a valid Driver CPC Card
Have at least 12 months Class 1 driving experience
Training will be provided to operate equipment
Hold no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
Have knowledge of the UK road network

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
