Full job description
4X4 & Trailer Driver required, based in Penkridge, Stafford.

The position is being offered on a part time / casual basis, which may lead to full time in the near future. The position is on a self employed basis.

All candidates must be over 25 for insurance purposes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person with excellent time keeping.

Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of the basic operation of small plant and machinery but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

Skills/requirements:

– Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)

– Must have comercial towing experience / HGV driving experience

– Ideally a NPORS Telehandler licence

-DIGI tachograph card preferred

– A strong understanding of the legal requirements regarding Driving Hours and Working Time Directive

– Must be able to work as part of a team or alone.

– Excellent customer service skills

– Professional appearance and attitude

– A strong work ethic, initiative and willingness to learn

Main duties to include nationwide collection and delivery of plant / machinery / cars and vans.

The successful candidate will be required to drive a 4×4 pick up towing several different size trailers.

The position involves early starts and the occasional night out to which a hotel and an evening meal will be provided.

Full uniform provided

Other associated tasks would include:

– Self loading and unloading of plant and machinery / cars and vans, sometimes via the use of a telehandler

– General cleaning of delivery vehicles

– Cleaning of plant and machinery

– General yard duties
