Hi, I’m Sam Warren, I’ve been working in the customer service industry since I was 16, more specifically
I’ve been a waiter at two restaurants, a poker deal in Grosvenor casino and now a Barista at Elevenses
Café Inspire. I am currently a computer science student and the university of Bedfordshire, moving onto
a Game development course.
Although I’m not one to speak on my own character; I consider myself to be Diligent, Responsible and a
friendly set of hands that are easy to get along with, as well as generally, a people person.
During my time as a student I studied Theatre and Media Studies, so not only am I adept when coming
to technology and fast paced environments, but I also will be able to fit nicely as a member of a new
team to me, having worked in a casino I’d like to think I’ve worked with some of the toughest types of
customers you can get.
My Hobbies include, Writing, Acting, Music, Art’s and crafts and Digital art, game development, pc and
console gaming. Long term wise, I’d like to peruse a job within the games industry.
Work Experience
Barista
Elevenses luton-Luton
November 2022 to January 2025
At this job I was the leading senior member, I was offered the position of assistant manager multiple
times. This job is attached to the inspire venue, which includes swimming pools and gym facilities. The
job requires fast turn overs for food an drinks with a wide menu to accompany that need. During my time
here, I have learned how to make exceptional coffee that surpasses that of the well known brands.
Being attached to the Inspire venue meant that we had to cater to large galas and sporting events which
saw thousands of customers in the building and which we had to cater to as the only consumables location
in the building, naturally as the the senior member, I was in charger of making sure everything regarding
those events went smoothly.
Poker Dealer
Grosvenor Casinos-Luton, Bedfordshire
September 2021 to July 2022
Job included dealing poker for players both on tournament tables and direct cash games. As expected,
a lot of customers tend to get quite rowdy over casino games so I have a lot of experience dealing with
exceptional customers.
Waiter

As a waiter I bare a face and reputation for the restaurant, It is my job to deliver food, drinks and to
make sure each and every customer feels welcome, warm and enjoys their time both in the restaurant
and under my service. My job also requires me to keep the presentation of the restaurant to the highest
standard, this means constantly cleaning tables and the restaurant as a whole whenever needed and
appropriate, as well as closing down the restaurant so it is prepared for the next morning. I’d personally
like to believe I helped bring in a fair few regulars to the restaurant. I find myself having a friendly
conversation with a majority of customers whenever the time permits it, letting the customers get familiar
with me and vice versa should make each and every visitor we have feel exceptionally welcome.
