Overview

 
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients’ needs. The Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM’s data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM.
 
A Data Domain Steward will work as part of the data domain team on delivery of data governance and oversight for a data domain, including but not limited to: data modeling, data definition, critical data elements, usage of data, data quality metrics, retention, and classification criteria, as well as oversight over the golden source for the data domain. The Data Domain team has oversight of the Technology team’s implementation of golden sources for a data domain while working closely with the Business Stakeholders to set the strategic direction.  The Securities and Pricing Data tower within CDO supports the following data domains: Securities / Instrument, Index’s, Pricing, Market data sources and Reference data. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities
Delivery of the data definition and implement the data governance aspects for a domain ‘front to end’ from data definition to data consumption and ensure data quality and usage of the data
Drive the programs to deliver the roadmap for the data domains.
Management of the roll out of a global, business-wide data governance framework for the data domain, with a focus on organization, policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.
Partner with business stakeholders, to ensure that data governance related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of initiative prioritization and planning.
Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and implement within the program to ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements for a data domain.
Qualifications
General understanding of Securities pricing and reference data – Pricing, Securities, country, industry, market sector, business calendars, legal entity classifications, etc.
Ideally has detailed understanding of market data and some experience of vendor data remediation.
Ideally has detailed knowledge of AWM application architecture and technology landscape and the transaction flow.
Must have experience and understanding of data modelling in particular of conceptual and logical models.
Experience of working within data governance process within a large financial organization.
Must have excellent business analysis and requirements management skills gained within large programs using different development and change management methodologies.
Excellent communication and relationship skills, including the ability organize and drive solutions across the organization.
Results oriented, willingness to commit to a direction and drive initiative to completion
Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals, and communicate accordingly.
