HGV Class 1 driver (PM starts)

Pure Staff currently have a new, exciting opportunity for HGV Class 1 drivers with our prestigous client based in the Derby area.

Our customer is a national operation that work with some of the UK’s best recognised supermarket brands. Due to a successful 2019, they have been able to expand their operation even further and are opening a brand new branch in Derby. They will be needing 10 full time HGV Class 1 drivers. This is a great place for a HGV Class 1 driver to secure ongoing work for the entire year.

Job role
The key to being a successful HGV Class 1 applicant in this role is flexibility. Start times can vary but we are currently looking to recruit flexible HGV Class 1 drivers who want PM start times; this is to ensure the new operation is successful. The work is delviering food products to various supermarket chains, all HGV Class 1 drivers must be prepared to complete up to 4 drops per day, reversing onto bays will be required and all HGV Class 1 drivers are expected to unload their own trailer using cages, pump trucks and tail lifts.

HGV CLass 1 driver requirements
UK Category C+E driving licence
Digi and CPC card
2 years’ experience (preferred)
Flexible working attitude
Flexibility on start times
Use of cages, pump trucks and tail lift required
Good level of communication

Pay rates:
We will be accepting both PAYE and LTD company HG Class 1 drivers for this position, please see pay rates detailed below:

LTD Company (SHIFT RATE) PAYE (SHIFT RATE)

Mon – Fri = £150 Mon – Fri = £134

Saturday = £160 Saturday = £143

Sunday = £170 Sunday = £152

Average shift length is 9/10 hours.

To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
