Class 2 Tanker Driver – Jetvac Operative

Job Location: Burton

Job Status: Permanent (Full-time)

Reporting to: Transport Planner

Working Hours: 50 hours per week (Mon – Fri)

Salary: £27,000 Per Annum plus OTE (After successful completion of 6 month probation a one of payment of up to £1000.00)

Key Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
Attend emergency call out situations dealing with emptying pump stations, sewer blockages, flooding and pollution

Working on Private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety and environmental procedures
Working with commercial and domestic customers
Undertake vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly
Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to Fleet Engineer
Maintain the driver’s log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
Ensure that the conditions of all PPE (personal protective clothing and equipment) remain fit for purpose
Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish in hose and tool boxes and the cab
Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties when your vehicle is off the road or if you are required to assist other field teams

Person Specification
Must be physically fit as job involves some heavy lifting
Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner
Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
Report into management when required and to complete work tickets, log books etc
