Job Description
Class 1 HGV Driver

We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based near East Midlands Airport. As a Class 1 driver you will be working for a well known brand to help their trunking operations across the UK. This opportunity will provide drivers with regular work once you have completed a vetting process providing air side clearance.

Class 1 drivers will need the following:
+ A valid HGV class 1 driving license
+ In date Tacho and CPC cards
+ No more than 6 points (No TT, IN, DD or DR codes).
+ A minimum of 6 months driving experience for insurance purposes

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to be able to work one of the following shift patterns:
+ Thursday to Monday
+ Friday to Tuesday
+ Tuesday to Saturday
+ Sunday to Thursday

Most shift start times will start between 1200 and 2200 and drivers will be expected to sleep out up to 2 nights per week.

Class 1 HGV Drivers will receive:
+ Monday to Friday 0800 – 1900 £17.20 per hour
+ Monday to Friday 1900 – 0800 £19.70 per hour
+ Saturday 0800 – 1900 £18.20 per hour
+ Saturday 1900 – 0800 £20.70 per hour
+ Sunday 0800 – 1900 £19.20 per hour
+ Sunday 1900 – 0800 £21.70 per hour
+ Overtime weekly after 40 hours £25.80 per hour
+ Nigh out allowance – £25 per hour

Please note that drivers will need to have 5 years work history referenced and successfully pass a DBS and CO course.
