HOW WILL YOU FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
 
– Participate in requirement analysis and systems design
– Design, develop, test and document client and server-side system components in a structured, disciplined, and fast-moving environment
– Develop systems using commercial and proprietary technologies
– Form strong client relationships with traders, salespeople, strats, operations, and other technology groups in an integrated business and technology environment
– Support the production environment, assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, and maintain the stability and integrity of systems
–  Engage with application development teams to provide timely end-to-end delivery of appropriate platform solutions
– Collaborate with application development teams and the development community at large to analyse and resolve escalations
– Provide technical guidance on established best practices to IT community and the business
– Partner with engineering teams to understand technology offerings and how they can be applied to solve business problems Design and implement mid to large scale systems management software to automate existing tasks, streamline operations and improve productivity

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
 
– Strong academic record with Bachelor’s level or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline required
– Prior software development/engineering experience gained from working within investment banking/financial services/FinTech/Digital industries required
– Demonstrable interest in finance/financial markets required
– – Strong experience in developing Java/Javascript and database applications required
– Strong skills in Web services and knowledge of Chrome extensions, SQL, MySQL required
– Familiarity with testing, testing frameworks/concepts required
– Reporting and demonstrable involvement with process improvement initiatives required
– Knowledge of Angular/AngularJS, Node.JS, JQuery, Python, Spark and Mongo required
– Strong analytical, design and implementation skills required
– Ability to efficiently work within a global team
– Effective written and verbal communication skills
– Good team player and good interpersonal skills
– Self-starter and able to work in a high paced environment
– Must be willing to handle first line support calls and work on a support rota
– Maintain a focus on quality, attention to detail, communication and delivery to tight timescales
