An established Catering Supplies company is opening a new distribution site in Hamstead, Birmingham, B42 1DU.

Permanent and Full-Time positions for: HGV DRIVERS CLASS 2

5 day working week.

Main responsibilities – Driving and giving correct stock to Driver’s Mates. Also, some payment collections from customers. (1 or 2 Driver’s Mates are sent with driver to offload goods into customer premises)

Rate of Pay – £29,000 per annum + £3,000 bonus

To be employed in this role you must have held a HGV Class 2 License for at least six months, and have no more than six points on your license.

About the Role

Our driving team has an important front-line role in maintaining our success and reputation. Without our daily customer deliveries we wouldn’t be able to deliver all the tasty goods to our customers all over the UK.

You’ll be responsible for:

Carrying out driver checks before you start your day.
You will be responsible for doing multi drops to our customers, you will be assigned a team of two or more people to help you fulfill this role.
Helping with loading and unloading your vehicle and any other work that needs carrying out – including cleaning your vehicle.
You will be required to get into the back of a wagon, check items for each customer and make ready for your drivers mates to take into the customers shop.
You will also be required to collect any payment from customers and clearly note any discrepancies when delivering.
Carrying out deliveries in the most efficient way possible.
Delivering on time, but always safely, making sure our reputation for excellence includes driving!
About You

Excellent service calls for high personal standards among the whole team. You’ll be a careful and considerate driver who’s willing to go the extra mile both on and off the roads. You’ll be naturally friendly, helpful and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results.
