Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 2 TRADE WASTE DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in YORK, YO26.

Hours of work:

Days
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (4 shifts per week0
04.00hr starts but may vary depending on the business needs
Around 48hrs per week
Salary:

Monday to Friday £14.00ph plus £1.69ph for holiday pay (total £15.69ph inclusive of holiday pay)
Saturday paid £18.67ph plus £2.25ph for holiday pay total £20.92ph inclusive of holiday pay)
Sunday rates to be confirmed
30 minute break deducted (15 minutes paid)
Minimum 12hrs paid per day all shifts Friday to Monday
The Role:

Collection of Trade Waste in a HGV 2 vehicle (predominantly a bin wagon but could potentially be a flatbed vehicle
Collections from businesses & building sites.
Handball will be required as you will be required to load and unload the bins on to the vehicle
Duties/Responsibilities:

Collection of around 150 – 200 bins per day
Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:

Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations.
Have a safe driving record.
No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
