Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a HGV 1 TANKER DRIVER on behalf of our client to join their team in RIPON, HG4 1AJ. This is a non ADR tanker position. Experience preferred but not essential training will be provided

Hours of work:
Days
4 on 4 off
Morning start times – would need to be flexible due to the business needs
Salary:

£17.70ph plus £2.14ph for holiday pay (total £19.84ph inclusive of holiday pay)
PAID break deducted
Minimum pay 8 hours per shift
The Role:

Going to various Water Treatment Sites, pumping sludge
HGV 1 Tanker who is happy to use HGV 2 tanker
Follow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company’s procedures
Duties/Responsibilities:

Collection of sludge from water treatment site
Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:

Be able to work on own initiative
Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence.
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations.
Have a safe driving record.
A minimum of 24 months’ experience as a Class 1 driver
No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
