JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for HGV Class 2 drivers/Operatives in the Newton Mearns area. Working with a major client, you will be responsible for maintenance, upkeep and response call outs covering a busy major route.

This role will be with a view to a permanent position for the right candidates, with a generous overtime and training structure in place.

Please Note: This will not be a “driving only” role – we are looking for “all rounders” who are willing to do whatever maintenance is required, working as a team.

Earnings should be in the region of 30-35k per annum

The Role:

Maintenance of a major route in the area. Patrol route with all health and safety aspects in mind Responding to RTA’s and call out’s to assist traffic management Pre-salt of route as required by weather conditions Inspection and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment to be operated daily
General up keep including grass cutting, litter picking, patch repairs etc.

Training: (after initial trial period)

Winter Service Operative (City & Guilds)
Emergency Traffic Management (SVQ)
12AB Traffic Management
First Aid Training
CPC Training (upkeep by client) Horticulture and Chemical Spraying

Requirements:

HGV Class 2 licence
Digital Tachograph Card Flexible approach – shift work, nightshift, on call, weekend rotation CSCS card
Lantra Cards desirable
